Copying Text Attributes From One Text Clip To Another in FCPX
Hi.
I’m using Final Cut Pro X 10.3.4 on El Capitan 10.11.6.
My question is this: Is it possible or can I copy attributes from one text clip to another?I’ve done a Google search and it only shows copying attributes from CLIPS, but not TEXT.
(Is it even called a “text clip”?I’m making a lyric video and I temped out all the lyrics so I could get the timing and now I want to format all that text with drop shadows, font sizes and styles without doing each one individually. HELP!

One thing – I HAVE seen THIS thread, but I can’t seem to get the Copy/Paste Attributes to work on text.

I want to copy the drop shadow, text color, and font options from one text clip to another. (or are these better referred to as “Titles”?)
Either way, I try to simply paste that over using “Paste Attribute” and it doesn’t work. It only wants to change video clip items, not text.

You should be able to use the drop down at the top of the text style panel to save your new style. Then use the timeline index to quickly select all you text and apply the saved style to them.
