  • Copying content from one project, to a new project…

The project I’m working on is rather large and I have found that breaking it up into smaller individual projects is helping the program run smoother.
When I copy and paste from one to another, everything comes over just fine except for the transition settings for each clip. My question is, is there a way for all the transitions created in the original project to copy over with the files to the new project? It sure would save some time…

    You can not copy transitions.

Perhaps you would be happier making a copy of your project and just delete everything you need to delete.

hmmm… didn’t consider that. Thanks again, Steven!

Oh, and since posting, I have been through some existing threads that cover Premiere’s performance with project file size in mind. Some things to consider.

Why not import the old project into a new one rather than copying and pasting, then delete unneeded content. I’ve found this creates a nice clean new project.
