copying audio from B track to A track
Posted by Norman Willis on July 10, 2009 at 7:01 pmHello.
I need to copy one word from my B audio track to my A audio track. Is there a better way than splitting the track (S on the keyboard) and then splicing it in?Thank you.

July 15, 2009 at 5:36 amSet your loop region so that the section you want is highlighted. Turn on Ignore Event Grouping (ctrl-shift-U), it’s one of the icons across the top of your window. If you don’t turn on Ignore Event Grouping you’ll copy both audio and video. Now right click in the highlighted section of audio and choose Copy. Now click in the target track and choose paste. Your audio will pop right into place!

July 15, 2009 at 2:49 pmThanks, Steven. That helps.
As long as we are talking about markers, is there some way to make a small loop region?
When I double click an event on the timeline, it puts the markers on either end of the event. What I would like to do is to highlight one small section (region?) inside of an event, for loop playback.
Is it possible to do this?
Thank you.

There sure is and here’s 2 ways to do it.
#1: Click the header of the desired track to highlight it.
Click in a blank area below the timeline and drag to highlight a specific area.#2. Place markers at the beginning and end of the desired section and then double-click between the markers (in the area above the timeline) to highlight it.
