    It should be simple, but I can’t figure it out.

    I just want to copy all clips between an and out point (not just the ones on the primary storyline) and paste them into another project.

    What’s the trick?

    You can’t do that precisely- what you can do is draw a lasso around the clips you want to copy. You may end up with an overlap of some clips you don’t want outside of the in/out range but you can easily delete these once you copy/paste to the other project.
