    The easy way:
    1. Choose Start > Run.
    2. Type in “charmap” (sans quotes). Click OK.
    3. Choose your font.
    4. Find the character you want and double-click it.
    5. Hit the copy button.
    6. Go back to your other program (Premiere, Photoshop, etc.) and paste.

The power user way is to hold down the ALT key and type the character code on the keypad. The Character Map application will show you what the codes are for any given character when you click on it. For the copyright symbol,

Hold down the Alt key while pressing 0169 on the numbers pad. The Copyright symbol will come up everytime in the same font your already using. For example: if your using Adobe title maker, type in the titles you normally need for your intros and at the end, hold the alt key while typing 0169 on the numbers pad and wa-la. It magically appears.
