How do I copy markers from one avid multi group to another? They are identical. A ‘select all, copy and paste ” from one marker window to the other has not been working.

    Thank you!

I’m also having the same problem. Hopefully there is a solution to this.

I figured it out: load the group with markers into a sequence, change the start TC of the sequence to the start TC of the group. Open the sequence’s marker window, select all and copy the markers. Load the group you want to paste the markers onto in the source monitor. Open that group’s marker window, hit paste, and the markers populate with the exact time codes.

Avid 2022.7.0 – I kept getting an error when pasting into the group on the source side. This doesn’t seem to work anymore.

To move markers between one group to another in Avid 2022.7.0, this method has worked for me:

OLD GROUP: Sequence it, make sure the sequence has the same start TC as your group. Open markers dialogue and see the markers for your sequence. Make sure it’ s not the group’s markers you are seeing in the tool. Maybe just close the group so you don’t get them mixed up. Select all the markers (cmd+a) to copy them to your clipboard (cmd+c). Close the sequence. Keep markers tool open.

NEW GROUP: Right-click the group that needs the old locators added to it. Select edit group, then paste the markers in the markers tool. Right -click on the record side monitor and select update group. All is copied to the new group now.

    I hope this helps!
