Hello , I am editing my demo reel and when I try and copy a clip from Pr to Ae the clip goes in but not where I cut it at. For instance if I cut a clip 30 secs long out of a 5 min clip it Ae will give me the first 30 secs of the clip not where I cut it at. Does anyone know why this is happening? , I have tried looking for this solution but have had no luck. Thanks

    Hi there,

Instead of copying and pasting the element, right-click on the element in the Timeline and choose “Replace with After Effects Composition”. this will use Dynamic link to send a linked section of footage over to AE. The nice thing about this is that you will get the clip exactly as it should be but also, any changes you make to it will be updated in your edit in Premiere Pro.

    Hope this helps!

    cheers,

    Angie

Thank you for responding, the problem is my dynamic link is not working so im forced to do it the hard way lol. But I figured it out , you have to select all in your Pr sequence then right click and uncheck scale to frame size then copy and paste in Ae.
