Copy a Layer (+Effects) to another Comp/Project
Hi everybody,
i hope this isn’t too basic…
i have a layer (it’s a texture with 3 effects) and actually i want to use it in another composition-project i’m working on… so, is it possible to export one layer (or a pre-comp) out of projectA and import it to ae-project B ??? with full effects still applied!!!
i’m checking HELP and the forums… didn’t find a hint…

you can just drag a project file into the new project, all comps, layers and effects will come with it. you can delete any unnecessary comps or layers after that.

Right. When you choose File > Import > File one of the file type options is AEP (After Effects project).
