C.O.P.S. Face blur not working during cross dissolve transistions
Hello, I am in the process of making a training video of therapeutic demonstration sessions for an Iraqi Vet dealing with PTSD. At one point, two volunteers were brought in to help in a therapeutic exercise, and I don’t have releases for them. I figured I could just blur out their faces.
I have gone through the process of adding a Matte Oval Shape and blur effect to duplicate clips putting on a secondary video track, and added keyframes to animate the oval to blur out the faces of the two gentleman whom I don’t have releases for. This was all done in FCP 6.0.2.
The problem is, I am using a cross dissolve to transistion between clips, and what happens is that as soon as the cross dissolve occurs, the blur and matte shape dissapears, revealing these gentlemens faces.
Anyone have any experience with this? I have checked online, and can’t find anything that tells me what to do. I have tried erasing and recreating the cross dissolves, is there a preference setting I need to check out, or is there another transition that would give the same effect but be more reliable?
Thank you.
