Cookie Cutter Only Works on One Half of Screen
Hi,
I’m trying to use the cookie cutter effect to highlight a part of a video. Because I want to pause the video, I created a .PNG at one part of the action, elongated it for a few seconds, and then resumed the video. On the PNG, I made a 2nd copy of it and placed it above the original PNG. I then went to Event FX and selected the cookie cutter.
I created a border and resized and placed a highlight circle around the part of the picture I wanted highlighted. But if that circle comes across anywhere on the left hand side of the screen, it gets cut off. It’s as it there is an imaginary border down the middle of the screen, and any effect I create cannot be shown if it’s on the left side.
I’m sure there is something basic I’m missing. Any ideas what I’m doing wrong? Thanks.

It sounds like you have the FX Bypass set to Select Left Half or Select Right Half.
Simply disable the bypass.~jr
