  • Converting wmv files to avi withput interlacing for use in Premiere Pro

I have some wmv files that a friend compresses, that I have been working with in Premiere.
When I tried converting them to avi files using the Adobe Media Encoder, some of them come out all interlaced.
Is there any way to convert them, or any program that will do it correctly, that they won’t be interlaced?

    I thought so.

    DV is an interlaced format.

If I set it to Progressive, should that work?
    Thanks for the help.

Premiere Pro loads .wmv files directly.

It might – depends on what you are setting to progressive.
