Converting VOB files to Vegas
I’ve made the mistake of downloading vob files onto my hard drive and no longer have access to the dvd that I had the video on. Is there anyway of converting these files so vegas can acknoweledge their existance? If so, how? Thanks

In Vegas 4, 5 or 6:
Import Media – select “All Files *.*” in the “Files of type” box so that it will see the VOBs. If you have 6.0c, it will import the audio as well. Otherwise, you’ll have to get an AC3 extractor. I use AC3DEC from https://www.users.on.net/~rsobon/ac3dec.html but https://www.videohelp.com/ has a list of others as well. -
Vegas 6.0d will import as well, but it seems to convert imported AC3 to mpeg audio. Is anyone able to import from DVD, and retain the AC3 audio???

I’ve got 6.0c, in trying to import, using all files, vegas doesn’t seem to acknowledge that those files exist. Any other thoughts?
