converting to wmv and mixing 16:9 and 4:3 footage
G’day,
I’m making a no-budget video for our company’s tech expo. I hope these two quetions haven’t been asked to death. My apologies in advance if I didn’t search correctly.
1. For charity, a senior manager shaved his head. I’d like to make the 30-second footage available for people to download on our intranet. Unfortunately, we’re cursed by fate to use Windows at work. Is there a recommended mov to wmv converter?
2. Prior to the previous 4:3 video camera dying, I’d shot some footage which I’d like to re-use in this video. This camera is considerably better, so it’s being shot in HDV 16:9. I read in the manual that FCP 5.1 can’t mix 4:3 DV and 16:9 HDV in the same project.
Therefore, my question is how best to do this? I can edit the DV and HDV in separate projects and export them as separate m2v files for inclusion in DVD Studio Pro. Is this the preferred option for dealing with a mixture of 4:3 / 16:9 and DV / HDV?
Thanks for your help.
Regards,
Doug
