Converting to proxies after edit has started
So long story short, I was given an edit that was started without proxies being set up. I’d like to set up proxies without disturbing the existing edits in the existing sequences. I thought it would be as easy as just creating the proxies from the Project window, so I did that. If I pull the footage into a new sequence it can toggle back and forth between proxies and high res, no problem. But for some reason, the edited footage in the existing sequences doesn’t seem to be switching when I click the proxy toggle button (I’m using a watermark).
So I guess I’m now wondering if my project has a bug or if this build of Premiere has a bug, if it can be done at all, or if I made a mistake.
I’ve tried disconnecting the footage and reconnecting. I’ve tried disconnecting the proxies and reconnecting, but no luck.
TL;DR
I had to create proxies after footage was already cut in a sequence. I created proxies but the cut footage in the sequence isn’t recognizing them. I’ve tried toggling them on and off (I’m using a watermark) but nothing happens.
