Finally convinced the powers that be that using 6.5 was no good, and have upgraded to CS4, it’s mid project though, and I have some blue-screening stuff to do, but because keylight 1.2 is in CS4 all my old keylight work seemingly can’t be used! Does anyone know of a fix?

    Please!?

i’ve had the same problem in the past (i think going from 6.5 to 7).

my solution on one older project was to work in the older version of ae. on a few other projects, it was easier to pre-render the keyed footage out (pre-rendering will set ae to import and replace the usage of the comp wherever it is used in the project). i then took that new project (with pre-rendered footage) into the later version of ae.

i will say that now i almost always pre-render keyed footage before getting too far along in compositing that footage… it’s faster to work with in later stages and thus allows more time for creating a better composite in the end.

you might check out thefoundry.co.uk to see if they have a work around for going from one version of keylight to another. i don’t recall seeing anything in the keylight manual though (you can download the keylight manual there too).
