converting QT DV movie to true 30fps and 48khz
Im trying to take a QT and convert it to TRUE 30fps for our audio dept….how can I do this, Ive tried using compressor, or digitizing at 30 fps, and the QT says its playing at 29.97 even though it says it is a 30fps QT file……any ideas???

Why do you need true 30fps? Audio should be ale to work @ 29.97.
Cinema tools will convert your movie to 30.0fps ‘losslessly’ if you really need it, but you shouldn’t.

Im not really sure, but our sound dept, using Pro Tools asked for 30fps not 29.97……dont ask me why…..we are all a bit confused by the request….but every time I use anything compressor or otherwise to convert the file, even though it says it is playing at 30fps, the files says it is 29.97 and when I send our sound dept the file they also say it is 29.97….any ideas???

Open the file in Cinema Tools, click conform and choose 30.0.
