I have a client that needs raw footage in .avi format. Haven’t found out yet for sure but I believe it will be in probably 24pn and he wants it in 720 x 480.

I have a HPX300. Help me with the right path to get him what he wants?

    1) Shoot 1280 x 720 probably Intra100 24pn.
    2) Bring files into FCP 7, coverting to QT (HQ) 1280 x 740
    3) then what….?

First off if you mean ProRes HQ when you say QT(HQ), use ProRes instead – not ProRes HQ. As for converting to avi, I believe Compressor now handles it. If not, try MPEG Streamclip. If you don’t have that Google it. It’s free and helps you do many format conversions.
