I recently went through the 3-part tutorial called “Converting Video to Cartoon.” I followed along with the steps and everything worked fine. Now I am working on a project in 720p shot with the HVX-200 (1280 x 720 pixels). I am trying to convert the video to cartoon using the same steps as the tutorial. Everything works fine until I go to batch process the image sequence in Bridge. As the images are processed by Illustrator they are resized, so my finished image sequence has been cropped down to 720×480. I think the problem is with Bridge rather than Illustrator because if I open one of the frames in Illustrator, click Live Trace, then save it again it keeps its original resolution.

Has anyone run into this problem? Is there a setting I can change in Bridge so that it won’t resize my images as it processes them?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

sounds to me like you forgot to change the settings in the Livetrace_ai.jsx file. In part one of the three part tutorials you mentioned, AR does go through the parameter changes you need to make in order to work with HD video. I think lines 10 and lines 497 are the two lines but I can’t remember the parameters.
