  convert from NTSC DV to 640×480 Square Pixel

  Hi Gang…

  I have some old footage that I am cutting and want to deliver this DV NTSC onto vimeo.

  I have a FCP timeline with DV NTSC BUT I have set the sequence settings compression to ProRes422 to help with the look of the After Effect graphics.

  I have de-interlaced with Magic Bullets Frames and exported the sequence with current sequence settings. I move this file into compressor and use h.264 640×480 with all other settings in Compressor left at default (recommended delivery for Vimeo SD).

  Guess what I am really trying to understand is how to best optimize this for going from 720×480 non square pixel to 640×480 square pixel can be done best?
