  • Convert files to Files I can play on a Windows computer — I’m using a Mac

I am work on a Mac computer

I have Media Encoder. I also have files that will be in Quicktime Format.

I need to convert those Quicktime Files into a file that a Windows computer can play.

What file would be good for windows and how can I convert the files to it in Media Encoder?

    Thanks

What’s there to convert? Windows machines play .mov files including ProRes. Otherwise create .mp4 files which are pretty universally playable on anything.

Do all Windows computers have Quicktime for Windows? I doubt Windows Media Player (or whatever they’re calling it on Win10) plays ProRes files without a little help.

    I’d second h264 mp4s.

Here’s something from an unrelated post about color spaces that includes stuff germane to our discussion:

Guess I misunderstood the intent of the question. To create files for distribution, definitely .mp4

    Thanks
