Convert Audio Keyframes to Glow Effect on footage
I’ve been messing around with trying to animate the opacity of a Glow Effect on to the keyframes in the Audio Amplitude layer i made from the convert audio keyframes option. Trying to make bursts of the glow effect onto the over exposed areas on the footage to drum beats in the song. I’m not getting the dramatic effect im looking for I’m pick whipping both channels slider in the audio amplitude layer to opacity and glow threshold on a black solid layer. what would i add to the expression?
thisComp.layer(“Black Solid”).transform.opacity
thisComp.layer(“Black Solid”).effect(“Glow”)(“Glow Threshold”)

It’s the opacity and the glow threshold that you want to animate, correct? If so you need to create expressions for those properties and pickwhip to the audio (it sounds like you did it the other way around). You’ll probably need to add a multiplier to what the pickwhip gives you. For example, you might end up with something like this:
thisComp.layer(“Audio Amplitude”).effect(“Both Channels”)(“Slider”) *5

Thank you. After a day of messing around with it. I’ve got a desired effect i was looking for. I also found if i added an audio bass&treble effect and raised the bass up on the waveform then convert it to keyframes made a more punch to the glow effect. Thanks again.
