I am about to start a project that is mainly shot on red but also uses sony A1 1080i HDV , canon 5d/7d and a bit of go pro footage as well.
The setup i will be using will be
The final output is potentially for cinematic release but definitely HD. On past projects that have been all red content the grade was done from the red files and then mastered to 1080. I am not sure how best to deliver this melting pot of a project.
1. should I use the Kona card to convert the HDV 1440 x 1080 to 1920 x1080 pro res4444 from a hdv deck for the online?
2.shall I convert all of the material that isn’t red to 1080 prores 4444 to deliver to the DI/Grade
Anyone managed a project with these components before??

None of these cameras produce anything more than an 8bit image that do not require you to use more than Pr422 for your conversions- going to the 4444 codec is a waste of resources during your edit.

For the edit i will probably transcode all the footage to SD prores hq or maybe 720.
I was concerned about delivery for the DI. The A1 i think is 1440 x 1080i HDV should i use the kona to convert it to 1920x 1080 pro res 422 when I online it?
