Is the Behringer BCF2000 a quality product?

April 20, 2006 at 10:45 pmHeya,
I have the BCR2000, and it works great, so I would suspect that the BCF is just as good (just with faders, instead of knobs).

I read something about how these have latch detection, but not touch detection. Do you know what they are referring to?

April 21, 2006 at 4:59 amNot sure what “latch detection” is. There are latch-type switches (toggle on/off).

April 22, 2006 at 9:12 pmAs I understand it, the Behringer faders are not touch sensitive (as they are on the Mackie Universal Controller) which means that you can’t start/stop overwriting the automation by putting your finger on/off the fader. This is certainly an issue with FCP audio mixing but I don’t really know whether Motion works the same way.

April 23, 2006 at 4:21 amI see, interesting. I guess there is going to be some sort of limitation at 20% of the cost.
Also, you are saying that the control surface can be used with FCP so that would mean that a control surface can be used with 3 of the 4 FCS applications? (i.e. everything except DVDSP).
