  Control key and Command key recognized as same key

  I am on a Mac, running R13.

  I am trying to just do a simple selection of points and if I select to many or the wrong ones I cannot deselect. I have tried Shift + LMB and Control + LMB and Command + LMB. When I go into customize my shortcuts I try to add Control + LMB to the deselect function, but when I enter it it shows as Command + LMB, and when I enter Command + LMB it shows as the same.

  Its almost as if the program is recognizing command, and control as the same button. Shift will not deselect the points either.
