Contracts, contracts, contracts…
Hey gang —
I’m doing a job for a client that wants a contract giving them the rights to the material that I generate for them. The job is a web design, and they want rights to the logos and graphics generated.
Usually I find that it’s kind of just understood (maybe that’s naive) that the material I produce for THEM is then THEIRS, but they would like it in writing.
Does anyone have a sample contract, or know where i can find one, that covers this sort of thing?

This is common practice. Do you have a basic contract they will sign? If so, you just need to add a “Rights”. Send me an email to info @ proandpost.com and I can give you a sample clause. Or you can search the web for web design contracts, most of which should have the copyrights clause. Cheers,
