I have the ShuttlePro v2 and I wouldn’t edit without it. Once you get use to the Jog and Shuttle wheels you’ll wonder how you ever edited without it. It was definitely money well spent. I’m considering picking up the smaller ShuttleXpress to cary around with my laptop.

August 26, 2011 at 10:06 pmJohn, I just got my Shuttle pro v2, and I cannot get it to work.
The application options do not list Vegas 9. The highest it goes is Vegas 7. I was told it would work using a Vegas 7 setting. I selected that, but it still did not work. In reading the instructions it appears you really don’t have to select anything if it is listed it will just work with that application. Is that right?
Do you know what I need to do to get it working. In one thread I read where I needed to “link it to the software” I am not sure what this means.
Thanks Mark -

You just need to set it up. Open the Shuttle Control Panel, click the Options button and select Import Settings. Then navigate to your Sony Vegas install folder and select the preference file for your device. This will create a Vegas Pro 10 setting for you. Finally click Apply to apply it. That’s all there is to it.
I have a tutorial on my web site that shows you how:

No, that’s not the problem. You can do the same thing for Vegas Pro 9. Did the link I gave in my post not work for you? Here is the raw URL:

August 27, 2011 at 4:39 pmJohn, Your tutorial was great and I am up and running… Thanks so much…. but can you also tell me if there is a way to identify what all the buttons do or can I customize them?
Also the shuttle dial moves the cursor on the time line but very slowly is there any way to increase the speed?
