I was wondering if the final video for web at a resolution of around 854×480 will look better if I shoot at 1920×1080 30fps and size it down or is it not worth the extra file size and just shoot at 1080×720 . In other words if my final res is 854×405 for web, does it matter which mode i use to shoot with?

    Thanks for the reply.
I am shooting subjects that are up to 100 feet away. Do you think it would be beneficial t shoot at the larger res if I plan on doing some zooming in in FCP?

I suppose ya, you could shoot 1080 and drop it in a 720 sequence and gain some there.
