consumer sony codec help please!
How do you edit the crazy files that this new camera makes?
I get the video of the MPEG2 files but no audio. there is a ton of .moff and .modd files that get created as well which I don’t know what they are…
I thought P2 was a challenge…

Try using MPEG Streamclip to open one of the MPEG2 files. It might work as it does with a DVD, demuxing the file and saving to the Quicktime codec of your choice. I haven’t tried this, but Streamclip is free if you don’t already have it. https://www.squared5.com/

I found a program called iSquint which converts the codec for fcp.
