I have been assigned a 13-monitor animation (24960 x 1080 full size). Previously, I have experienced issues outputting wide dimensions. To resolve this, I have half-sized files or disproportionately output the width/height and then allowed the media player to uncompress to the proper playback ratio. The maximum number of monitors that I have done this with is a 4-panel bank. However, for this project’s large, odd number of monitors (13), there will surely be loss of quality.

Does anyone know of any documentation regarding render output dimensions in After Effects or out to Media Encoder?

    Thanks!

You should speak with the production team responsible for running the display system. They will almost certainly have very specific requirements for how you deliver media to this system.

FYI, the largest raster size Ae can deal with is 30,000 x 30,000. It’s possible to run this many monitors off a single system, but it’s also likely that you may be asked to pre-split your outputs across several systems that will play in sync.
