Okay I have a sequence thats not relinking. The sequence is a consolidated one. All the clips that the sequence contains are in the bin and when I load them they are right there online. But the edit is offline. there are many cuts so I cant recut this. I tried relinking, renaming,. I noticed when I get that error that says problem loading avidmedia/mxf/1 or whatever. Please can a expert advise what to do? I dont understand if the source of all the clips that contains the sequence is online why is the sequence itself media offline or not even relinking. Im assuming its because its a consolidated copy. but the other one I dont have it was destroyed in another drive. It has to be so way to relink these clips if the source clips are online in the same bin!!!

Quit the app, delete the media databases in your mediafiles folders, launch app. It should rebuild the databases.
In the app, open Media Tool. It should build up correctly.
Now try again to relink the sequence.

Quarantined mediafiles have an issue. They are either corrupt, or they have incorrect permissions/ownership.

Still weird that you say the media you need is there, but does not link. Is it by any chance file based imported media (P2)?

Hey Job so sorry for the long waited response but this thing has me soooo stressed out and backing me and my money up! anyway. No they are not P2 files. What I figured out was that source files are my original files right which are the .old but the sequence was created with the .new files which is when i consolidated to a different drive but chose not to delete the original. However that drive that had the .new copies went bad and couldnt retrieve my data. So basically I have the original files and they are all there ..but on the timeline it has the copy or new consolidated clips in there. so when I try to relink its not recognizing for some reason. now when i do a match frame on the media offline it pops up in the source monitor as media offline of course but its there. How do I reveal that file? to track where that file is? because if it can match frame then its somewhere in the system!!!! I did the media tool and all projects and all ect…but I did not see the media offline files that are in the sequence… What I figured out to do in the meantime was to match frame on the media offline and then use the timecode to go to the same timecode in the files that are online and then do a overwrite! lol.. tidius but its the only thing working. If you have any suggestings let me know. By the way im a female editor and no wonder there are more male editors than females! I cant put up with this crap lol.. 🙂 hit me back job! thanks
