Is there a program or a workflow that would enable me to take all the clip names from a projects EDL or XML file and consolidate those files to one location? Wrapping up a RED feature and it would be great to have all the files used on one drive for back up. Footage is spread over a bunch of drives.

Are you talking about the original R3D files or the Pro Res files?

You can use media manager to copy the used footage in a single location.

Monkey Extract does it for R3D. There is about half a dozen of other tools for this format. Unfortunately for me there is none for DPX.

Yes it would be to consolidate all the R3D files used in the feature.

    Thanks

Clip finder does it as well. But it will copy the entire clip.
