  Consolidate media for backups – quitting FCPX while in progress or paused

  I’m currently using the consolidate media option on a library created on an external drive for backing up my library and associated media files.

  If I happen to quit FCPX while the consolidate process is working, or paused, when I reopen FCPX and rechoose consolidate media is FCPX smart enough to know which media files have already been copied? Or does it start again from scratch, overwriting previously copied media files?
