Connecting External LAV to Zoom H4n
Hi,
I’m having trouble connecting a Stereo SP LAV to the Sony Zoom H4n. I have tried both the external mic (on the back of the zoom) and a cable adaptor which hooks up to the mic connections 1 & 2. My guess is that I need to change the settings in the H4n menu. What to do? Thanks!!! -

I dont know your mic but
Does it (mic) have a battery in it?
Does it (mic) need a battery in it
Does it need powering from the zoom (ie 48v phantom?)
What connector are you using to connect. balanced XLR?
Have you selected buttons 1 and 2 to enable the rear record inputs
Are your audio record gains up
Have you tried a different mic (success/ fail)Peter
