Connecting Decklink Extreme HD to Sony UVW 1800
I have just purchased a Sony UVW 1800 and the Decklink HD Extreme card with breakout cabel. Maybe I’m missing something but, I have a few problems with the connections. 1 – the remote/device control – I have a female plug on the cable and a female plug on the 1800, do I need some type of bridge? 2- Component plugs – I have a male plug on the cable and female on the 1800, but the plugs are the exact same size so they do not fit into each other. Do I need a bridge or can I use a BNC to S Video plug instead? Finally, my breakout cable is maybe only a foot or so long, I can barely make the cables reach. What do most people do to fix this? Thanks in advance for your help.
