Okay, so i came accross this edit on youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NZ84wCnXOCM&feature=plcp and the most noticed effect is this sort of line effect you see almost right off the bat. I was wondering how i could be able to achieve this effect? I have a feeling it has something to do with the beam effect, shape layers, and expression. But i am not sure where to start and how to attempt this. It would be greatly appreciated if someone could help me out! <3

Couple of plugins will do it. That one in your example looks like Plexus. There is also another one called Nodes, but I don’t think it’s as powerful as Plexus. I haven’t experimented with either so I can’t tell you much more than that.
