connect Premiere Pro Cs4 program feed to LCD
How can I see the HD program output from Premiere Pro CS4 to an LCD tv. Can I use the HDMI out on the video card or use the Blackmagic extreme HD card for the output. How do I set this up? Thanks!

Hi Chris,
As long as your card has a dual head, you can use the second output to DVI or HDMI and display a full screen output to a monitor or television. Or you can add a second card.
Once the monitor is plugged in, go to your playback settings and set the second display as external monitor. You may have to go to your Windows / Mac display settings and set the second display as extended first.
You can also use a Blackmagic card but you will need to setup Blackmagic projects in order to use it.

Where within Premiere is the playback setup located?

Look on the right top side of your program / preview panel. That’s inside the small contextual menu.

Hey, the realtime playback makes the video jitter on the computer and the external monitor. How can I fix this problem?

Yes, an ATI Radeon HD 4890 card in the PCI express slot. Why ?

It’s a common issue with newer ATI drivers. I’m not sure where the blame lies, but see if that fixes your problem.

none of the old drivers are working. Should I just switch out the ATI card with a nvida or better ATI card? What do you think?

I’d say, get something you can possibly return if that doesn’t solve your issue, but I have a feeling ATI is at the root in that case.
It certainly could be a host of reasons. What kind of machine are we talking about?
