    Hi,
I think this is something simple I’m missing, but I’ve been using the simple figure object to experiment with some rigging tools.
What I did, was set a selection for each individual object, then I used the connect and delete command, so I have one mesh. I want to be able to access those selection sets during weight painting. When I do this, the selection sets are no longer there. The tags are there, but no point or poly selection info. Am I missing something simple? I thought it would be easy to connect a bunch of objects keeping their selection sets in tact?

It works here in R15. The only caveat is that the selection tags have to have unique names or they are combined into one selection upon conversion.

    Hi Adam,
Yeah, I just figured it out. I’m an idiot.
    It’s working.
I had changed my display, so I was clicking on each object, and no points were selected, but I thought all were selected. Makes sense.
    Duh!
