So I have a dvcam tape that I just imports with dv set top. The video on the the tape is 16×9. Now when I am done capturing and I put it in my timeline it is stretched looking like a 16×9 video forced to being a 4×3. What do I need to do to make it look like it does on the tape as a normal 16×9 video? Is it sequence settings, a/v settings, ? Help please.

Watch this tutorial, memorize it, and begin all your new FCP projects using Easy Setups as described and you won’t encounter these issues.

And PS – quit sighing, it’s not very manly…
