this has something to do with adobe premiere 1.5. i am confused which transcode setting to use in the “adobe media encoder” since there are vast choices of presets.

i tried using this format: “mpeg2-dvd”, preset: “NTSC DV 4×3 high quality 7mb CBR 2 pass”. but after transcoding my 1 hour and 20 minutes video, the total file size soared up beyond 4.7gb and it wont fit to a single dvd-r.

any idea what is the right transcode setting or preset in the premiere’s “adobe media encoder” that would fit to a single 4.7gb dvd disk with good quality and playable to most home dvd players?

by the way im using adobe encore to author dvd’s but i haven’t tried transcoding there. what i usually do is transcode my work first at premeire then import as asset to encore. i hope i’m doing it right.

thank you very much, your help will be appreciated.

    blessings,
