  Confused about monitor setup w/ MacBook Pro

  I am migrating from my trusty G4 dual 1GHz to a 17″ MacBook Pro in two weeks and will be getting a new 19″ or 20″ monitor. My current setup involves a 17″ Apple Cinema and a cheap 15″ VGA- I like my Viewer, Canvas and timeline on the Cinema and my browser on the external. I will be using a dedicated FCP keyboard, nouse and shuttle controller with my MacBook when I’m not on the road. Questions:

  1. Should I use the external or the MacBook for the browser?
  2. Should I get a widescreen display?
  3. If the external only has a native resolution of 1440 x 900 (compared to the MacBook’s 1680 x 1050), what effect will that have?

  Any thoughts/suggestions would be appreciated.
