do people use ki pro in a telecini situation? either for dailies or for final transfers?
can you remote it to a flame or smoke for conforms or layoffs? or is better to think of it for file based conforms?

I have seen people run the KiPro off telecine for dailies as ProRes, but not for final transfers since it is only a 4:2:2 and most film transfers I want or choose to work with are 444. The other issue is a majority scanners do not run “realtime’ @ 24/ 25fps to allow the device to be used in this manner.
I have passed Dual Link HDSDI signal via a Hi5 3G > HDMI into the KiPro using LTC from an HDCamSR Deck to do offline’s or dailies of this nature.

The RS422 is not yet enabled to allow for remote control.
