Conforming
I have Adobe CS5 Premiere Pro. I set up the project for DSLR 24p. I import DSLR footage shot at 24p. After importing into Project folder it starts Conforming. Why/What is it conforming when the project is set up for the footage?

Hi Martin,
Premiere always conforms the audio to 32-bit floating point unless the video source is uncompressed.

It’s actually a pretty good thing. Avid and FCP usually have to redraw the waveforms. If you let it just conform the audio, it won’t slow you down while editing because the audio waveforms pretty much dont need to be redrawn.

The drawback of conforming is that Premiere wants to sometimes reconform all media which can take forever. Seems to happen if drive letters change
