I have this problem in premiere pro where I import audio file into the project and the status bar says its conforming audio yet the bar does not finish loading and the program freezes up on me. Its just a few cetain files I can never put into my track, no matter how many times I have tried to put them in. In windows media player I can play them normally without any errors or problems. Any ideas of how to fix this glitch? thanks

Possibly the format of the problem audio is not recognised by Premiere, even though Media Player can handle it.

How much harddrive space do you have left?

I have about 5 gigs left for this project. Is there anyway of converting the audio to another format for import into premiere? windows media player doesn’t seem to have any advance functions of converting, just playback.

If you do not have a suitable audio program already to do the format conversion, then the shareware download from http://www.goldwave.com will give you a conversion facility.

Use the same program to change the sample rate to match the project if it differs at the moment.
