Conforming
When I start up a Project, the lower right corner of Premiere Pro 5.5 shows a bar which reads “Conforming” preceded by a .mts file name. A small bar indicates the process is being completed.
Can anyone expalin this. Never had this go on in FCP.

Hi Martin,
Premiere conforms some audio to a higher-quality format for editing. It does this in the background. Do a web search for “Premiere audio conforming” for more detailed info
