Conformed program results in garbage
Posted by Tim Silva on April 15, 2008 at 2:42 pmI have a program of 16×9 8 bit uncompressed clips in M100HDx. I tried conforming the program to output to 4 x 3. When I play the conformed program back it skips, flashes green lines and is full of noise. Any thoughts?
Thanks – Tim

Are your render settings the same as the media (8 bit uncompressed)? Strange things happen when they aren’t.

Media 100 > Project Settings > Codecs
Make sure the render codec is the same as the one you created the media in (8 bit uncompressed in your case).

I changed the codec so it matched, but that didn’t do it. The 2 graphic clips which are M100HD codec conformed OK… but the video clips didn’t. Hmmm…

Try rendering a title over the top of your program – this should make sure that the timeline is all in the same codec. Then conform as before.

April 15, 2008 at 7:37 pmConform should not care about the codec. What version are you using? What codec? What source and target format?

April 15, 2008 at 8:42 pmM100HDx 12.1.2, clips in the program were imported as Uncompressed 8bit 16×9. I’m wanting to conform to a 4×3 program.

May 1, 2008 at 3:24 pmThere is a popup box that appears when you try to conform, with a small checkbox that says something about making the video offline to be re-acquired later. If you uncheck this box, it conforms all of the video as well as the graphics.
