    Hi,

I’m working in FCP 7 and I can’t figure out how to disable the Mac OS shortcuts in order to be able to use fcp keyboard shortcuts.

I’ve simply unchecked the shortcuts in the Expose and Dashboard (as I have read), but the F10, F11 and F12 (and many more) shortcuts do not work from FCP 7.

    What am I doing wrong?

Try going to Apple > System Preferences > Keyboard.

Make sure you’re in the “Keyboard” pane.

Below the sliders there is an option that says, “Use All F1, F2 etc. keys as standard function keys.” This forces the user to hold down the fn key if they want to use the function printed on that key. This should allow FCP use those F-keys as shortcuts.

    Make sense?
