As a video artist, how concerned should I be about unauthorized reproduction of digitized video (such as a DVD) that I submit to curators, galleries, dealers, publishers, etc.? What is standard practice re such submissions? Can DVD’s be copy-protected? If yes, then should they be? How?

In addition to the technical question, are there legal issues I should be concerned with, and steps I should take? Should I copyright disks, or the videos on disks, before submitting them?

    Thanks!

    Look at it this way.

If your work is in demand that so many people are stealing it that is affecting your pocket book, you’d already be a millionaire

It’s a waste of time….Copy protected media of any kind is easily circumvented
