  Computer is crashing when running da vinci

  i have an Alien m17 R5 <mark data-markjs=”true”>laptop</mark>, It recently got back from the lab after charging issues.
  ever since then, whenever I am trying to video edit on it my <mark data-markjs=”true”>laptop</mark> is getting BSOD and i get the following error: “”dxgkrnl fatal error””.

  at first i tought it was a hardware problem but after testing the computer by Gaming on it. and after runiing da vinci and making sure it runs on Nvidia while using it (This computer have an Amd intergrated GPU in addition to my dedicated GPU)
  the computer worked fine without crashing.

  I am not sure what the problem and i wonder if anyone here ever faced that issue before and have any idea what to do?

  Importante note:the projects i was working were stored on an external hardrive

  • i tried to tested by:
    • i playing a game called “Project Wingman” for somewere between 30 mins-60 mins (estimation only, i did not messured the time)
    • playing God of war 2018 for 50 Mins on the integrated GPU
    • working on Davinci for 40 mins after making sure it works on nvidia.
