Computer from Best Buy
Hello! Just want to start by saying that this is a really great site and forum! 🙂 Now, to the questions…
I’ve got to get a new computer for video editing and production at my church. I plan on running Production CS3 or CS4. The thing is, they really want me to get it from Best Buy. I know alot of you will say that a system can be built for much less, and I agree, but these are my marching orders. I haven’t really been given a budget, but I would think they’d want to keep it to no more than $1500. ($2000 max, but I also have to get some other stuff so I don’t want to push it) I’ve looked at both the consumer site and the Best Buy business site, but I’m not sure what’s going to give me the biggest bang for my buck.
Could you guys help me out? Take a look at Best Buy’s current inventory (consumer and business) and let me know which one(s) you’d recommend. I need to get this fairly soon. Thanks!!
P.S. I didn’t want to let this post get too long, so if you have any questions or need more info, I’d be happy to fill in the gaps.

This one should do you fine for $1200. Have them add a second 750 GB internal drive for video files.
