I cannot open Compressor 2 from within FCP 5.0. Everytime I select a sequence, all I get is error messages. Compressor never opens. I tried the same exact procedure–highlight a sequence in a project, choose file export, choose “using compressor”– at a friendly post house and my method of opening up Compressor worked perfectly on thier hardware.

Any ideas why compressor is having this problem?

Also, my still images–both .jpgs and .psds look horrible–hugely contrasty–in FCP 5.0. They looked perfect in FCP 4.0.
What happened? Any way to fix this?

    Thanks!

Information about your setup would help greatly.

If you installed FCP 5.0 and then upgraded to Tiger OS, that would be a problem. FCP 5.0 should be installed after Tiger.

If you simply upgraded your Tiger OS from Panther, that could be a problem. Much better to do a clean install.
